In my life teh two now only one remains with us artists that I ever wanted to meet were Richard and Layne Staley. Two great musicians and intelligent minds. I waited all day at the locobazooka in Huntington WV , got backstage and everything. Stood on the side of the stages through each bands show and chatted with everyone but Richard he was nowhere to be seen. Finally I spot him but he's just having a good old time on this scooter, so didn't want to bother him while that was taking place. I even left my place on the side of the stage backstage to see Filter actual show from the audience. Then Sevendust came on after Filter and I went back to my spot on the side of the stage, and right before Sevendust were through I turn my head only to see him standing maybe a foot back and two feet over alone. He was wearing camo shorts, and a Lynyrd Skynyrd T with the sleeves cut off. I pussed out. Oh well maybe some day but I did get to hang with dragpipe and
they told me about their tour with Filter so I hope everything went well with them. ..................I know Iknow useless news

Hi!
I met Richard outside London's Astoria when they were over here in the UK on their Amalgamut tour.
I must admit I was bricking it a bit, but, he came across as a nice guy. Asked him if I could have a picture taken with him, puts his arm around me and i walk away with the biggest grin on my face for years and the best pictures ever. Asked if I could take a few more pics of him and he was really cool about it.

The other guys were a bit shy and disappeared very quickly leaving Richard on his own outside. Do they not realise that we are there to see them as well as Rich?

Dont shit yourself next time! He came across as a nice guy!
