well i jus like 2 no from the new rich words posts what you think of rich's progress since hes come out of rehab? ive noticed a few ppl not supportin him an bein bit selfish becus the had to cancel the tour, but i think that we all humans an we have to do what is best for us before it blows up in our faces. Rich new he needed help an he sought it and a few ppl dnt reali understand this, a few fans been complain on some baords bout him seeking help. but anyway from his new posts i think rich has finally found the best way to make his music and that is by himself and i think that is the way he likes it so fair play and he seems pysched bout the new record hes writing! Ah. Where do I start?
Yes. I agree that alot of people have been a little pisssed of at Richie and maybe not been as supportive of him as they should because of the tour. Put it this way, the man needed help and he sought it, to make sure that he can do many more tours for years to come. People like that are selfish, and obviously don't realise that Rich is human too, and he has his faults just like the rest of us.
I can't wait for the new record. I know that it will bring out alot of feelings in me: happiness, thoughtfulness, sorrow, guilt and that feeling of pure energy. Whatever the new songs are like, Rich is totally into what he's doing, and I suppose thats the most important thing. He's happy with himself and the sound.
He's working alone again. Got a feeling that this record is going to be labelled "The Rochard Patrick Show" because the other band members havent been as involved as they where on 'Mut. Maybe that'll change.
Rich has made amazing progress since rehab. The start of the new record shows he's thinking straight, the creative juices are flowing and he's ready to rock his socks off!

The fact that anyone would have a problem with a guy going into rehab rather than on a tour kinda makes me angry at the world......well...... more angry..... Since when did music outweigh personal health?  As much as i love Richie's musical talent i'd never ask him or any other musician to sacrifice their own personal well-being, so i could have a few more hours sitting on my lonesome strumming away at my air guitar whilst listening to their new music..... Anyway, i have the same amount of respect for Richie as i do for (the man himself) Henry Rollins.....they both have an amazing insight into the world and are able to pull off lyrical based music that doesn't sound 'over-publicized' like RATM or SoAD - plus both have had extremely tough life experiances, AND have been able to overcome them.....so i salute Rich |

Excellent post, Child. I think it is important to realize that Rich did what he needed to do for his health and I think it is sad that anyone thinks that music/touring comes before personal health. I think Rich has come far since he came out of rehab and may we have new music to enjoy soon. . .

...What the hell right does anyone have to critisize a man for cancelling a tour to get freakin' better!...(Sorry I just had to get that little bit of rage out...) I for one think Rich deserves credit for this... He realised he needed help and got it... Not many people on this earth can do that... Now he has become a better, stronger person... I commend him, ecspecially for getting straight back into the studio... If I were him it's probably the last place I'd want to be... But then again... I'm not... So lucky for you guys he is him and I am me or we wouldn't be anticipating the arrival of a totally new Filter-tastic record... (Sorry if that was a little confusing)... Anyways... Rich will always Rock... LJC |

B13 who is this gain? if u want to no where i been jus ask life as richie had i had problems decided needed help an tried to sort meself out and successfully hav! filter albums helpd me hell of alot duno wat id do without em, btw if ne1 can get me a picture of the Filter Star in read i would love it cus i gettin it tatooed on my shoulder!  Thanks for sayin great post i thinks its important to show our appreciation to a good man! Respect rich!
