We're not gonna shoot you, Boston. I've never really liked Manson much, myself. I respect him for what he's doing and the fact that he KNOWS it's an act but one he gets so much fire thrown his way for. I actually am enjoying his new album Golden Age of Grotesque.

[glow=blue,2,300]Love/Hate M.Manson, he's been marketed correctly and he wasn't really aimed at one audience.. Even though i think he's a piece of trash, he's still brillant.. I'v heard "MobScene" and its good.. I like it.. Hell, i even liked "The Beautiful People".. Thats about it though.. There's my loose change.. hehe.. [/glow]

I'm not a HUGE MM fan (I was the one who when she first hear his version of "Tainted Love" on the radio thought it was a cover by a BOY BAND!!!)
...but that said, the video for "Beautiful People" is truly AMAZING!!!!

Well, then you might wanna check out his track on the Matrix Reloaded soundtrack. I thought it was decent. Scarey as it may be, and forgive me if this is just "not cool to say", but i think he took a lesson offa Richie in the way he styled this new track's chorus. For some reason i can hear Richie performing it sometime, but better than MM ever could! -Boston

I'm not a Manson supporter of any kind. His music is contrived, over done and to be quite frank anything after AS has been crap. However the way I look at it is he's videos an music are better than anything elst their playing lately.

Marilyn Manson is a brilliant businessman and an intellectual. He learned early in life how to play the entertainment industry AND the media in a way to better sell his music.
He gets my respect based on that, and I'm not even considering his music---> just his ability to manipulate the industry and play people using the media. OH he also has my respect because of his comments in Bowling For Columbine. BLEW MY MIND.......

If you ever get the chance, watch the Gave Up Video from NIN. In it is Rich, Trent, Brian and a tall, long black haired dude. His name is Marilynn Manson to all of us. At the time, he was merely Brian Warner.

At the time, he was merely Brian Warner. RFW Now that's a fun video to watch. Holy shit does Brian ever have long hair, not to mention MM. As for Marilyn Manson being "discovered" by Trent Reznor, I don't think it exactly happened like that, however when MM was signed to Trent's NOTHING records and recorded an album when NIN recorded the Downward Spiral, I think it gave him more exposure. I'm sure there are some fan sites out there that can explain it better than I can. Hope this helps : ) CYNIIIIIC
