i was just kinda wondering what everybody here that does home recording, how they have their setup run as, and what's lined into what...for example this is how i run stuff currently
MIXING BOARD:
Peavey RQ200 6channel
CHANNEL 1: Behringer B-1 studio condenser mic
CHANNEL 2: empty
CHANNEL 3: electric guitar
CHANNEL 4: bass
CHANNEL 5: the line out for my Peavey Deltafex Processor runs into this channel, being my mixing board only has an effects out, so i run the EFX out on the mixer to the line in on the processor, and the line out on the processor to the line in on ch5, which the db is kept at about -15db, being each channel has it's own efx bus on it.
CHANNEL 6: the line out on my computer's sound card is runnin on this.
MAIN OUTS: running through an Alesis 3630 Compressor wich leads to the mic input on my soundcard....my board has 2 outs, so the 2nd main out is runs out to a Stage Works PA system.....
COMPUTER: Proudly running eMagic Logic 5.3, when i get my master audio cd back from my buddy, i'll re-install 5.5...
and asfar as live sound goes....i use a JBL powered PA setup....an 8channel mixing board, and 6 powered 15inch powered speakers, each running at 800watts apiece, being my band hasn't played live, i've only had the chance to use that setup for live dj work......
